As a Mechanical Design Engineer you are responsible for contributing to the design and development of products solutions and systems. It includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components.
As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Executing the design analysis or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards practices procedures and product / program requirements.
- Will work include mechanical engineering for all products
- Resolving problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent.
- Working together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities planning of activities and giving explanations on technical issues.
- Communicating with direct team and supervisor. Presents to internal teams on metrics project status and research.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
Have minimum 9 years of industrial experience in mechanical equipment design and application
Understand thermodynamics rotordynamic materials of turbomachinery product. Product knowledge on centrifugal compressor is added advantage.
Able to demonstrate good computer skills and be familiar with cad modelling along with GD&T FEA programming.
Able to work in experienced people team giving an active contribution to the design and decision-making process.
Have an open approach to problem solving and expanding the current theory to fill the gaps.
Have experience and background in manufacturing/reliability/material science is a plus.
Have basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting machining welding or cutting etc is a plus.
