What you will be doing in this role
In your role as an Advanced Trainee in Neurology youll be at the forefront of patient care working closely with the Admitting Medical Officer (AMO) to assess and manage neurology patients. Youll have the opportunity to conduct detailed patient assessments develop and implement treatment plans and perform medical procedures all while ensuring accurate and up-to-date medical records. Working in close partnership with the AMO you will collaborate on patient care decisions and ensure each individual receives tailored high-quality treatment. Youll also coordinate diagnostic testing imaging and specialist consultations as required to support the care pathway.
A key part of your role will be communicating with patients and their families about treatment options potential risks and expected outcomes always with clarity and empathy. Youll also be involved in ward rounds operating sessions and outpatient clinic sessions as part of a roster. If a patients condition changes youll respond promptly and keep the AMO informed.
Beyond clinical care youll play an important role in quality assurance initiatives and contribute to the education of medical students and junior medical officers (JMOs). This 12-month maximum-term position starting in February 2026 will give you the chance to further develop your expertise in neurology in a supportive and dynamic learning environment all while being part of a collaborative and compassionate team.
