Bachelors Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field required
3 years of clinical experience required
1 year of Oncology experience preferred
RN Registered Nurse upon hire required and
BCLS Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
OCN Oncology Certified Nurse upon hire preferred
What You Will Do
Act as a leader in the development implementation and evaluation of clinical outcomes that support departmental and organizational goals of oncology care within the hospital entity and overall Texas Health System.
Utilize current research and evidence based standards of practice to develop analyze and coordinate a comprehensive plan of patient education activities including goals assessment planning implementation needed resources and evaluation methods to support improved patient outcomes.
Function as a consultant by collaborating with managers staff physicians patients and other members of the healthcare team to identify plan implement and evaluate educational interventions.
Utilize current evidence-based practice and research findings to promote cancer awareness in the community.
Participate in development implementation and evaluation of cancer program specific goals and objectives.
Evaluate opportunities to provide patient care in a cost-efficient manner and when possible increase patient revenue and patient satisfaction.
