Applications are invited for the appointment as Senior Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I) in the Journalism and Media Studies Centre (JMSC) (Ref.: 533474) to commence on December 1 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter on one-year temporary contract with the possibility of renewal based on performance and operational needs.
The appointee will be responsible for supporting the administrative tasks event logistics and programme management of the JMSC with major duties including:
- Supporting administrative duties for various initiatives and projects under the JMSC;
- Assisting in the planning organisation and execution of publicity events and enrichment activities such as film screening alumni gathering summer school talks seminars and workshops etc;
- Assisting in undergraduate programme administration;
- Coordinating tasks with external and internal units; and
- Performing any duties as assigned by the Centre Director/Manager
The appointee may be required to work overtime as and when necessary.
Applicants should have a Bachelors degree with at least 2 years of administrative experience preferably in the tertiary education sector. Fluency in English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is required. They should have good written and oral communication skills as well as organisational skills the ability to work independently and under pressure and proficiency in IT such as Microsoft Word Excel and Powerpoint. They should also be self-motivated and be able to effectively interact with people from diverse cultures. Experience in programme administration or event planning is a definite advantage.
