Your mission
We are looking for a Legal Counsel Privacy & Compliance (f/m/x) to establish and develop Aonics group-wide privacy and compliance function. This is a newly created position with a broad international scope covering multiple business areas and jurisdictions. You will design scalable frameworks and processes that enable Aonics rapid growth while maintaining legal and ethical integrity. You will work closely with the Group General Counsel Group CEO and leadership teams across Aonics portfolio.
This is an opportunity to shape and grow a function that sits at the intersection of law technology and governance ideal for a lawyer who thrives on autonomy impact and building structure where it does not yet exist.
Key responsibilities:
- Build and lead Aonics central privacy and compliance framework across all portfolio companies.
- Develop scalable operations policies and tools that can support Aonics continued international expansion.
- Provide pragmatic legal advice to operational product and commercial teams on privacy InfoSec data and regulatory matters.
- Conduct risk assessments DPIAs and implement effective compliance controls and documentation.
- Develop and maintain internal policies playbooks and training programs to strengthen compliance culture.
- Collaborate with and train leaders to embed compliance into processes and decision-making.
- Monitor regulatory developments (e.g. EU AI Act Digital Services Act) and drive implementation across the group.
Your profile
- LL.M. (or equivalent) and qualified to practice law in Sweden or another EU jurisdiction.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience from a top-tier law firm and/or as an in-house counsel experience from data driven B2C industries or international tech companies is highly valued.
- Proven expertise in GDPR and cross-border data privacy compliance; knowledge of U.S. privacy frameworks (e.g. CCPA/CPRA) is a strong plus.
- Experience managing compliance programs or acting as Data Protection Officer is an advantage.
- Strong business judgment and ability to make sound decisions independently.
- Fluent in English; Swedish German or other European languages are a benefit.
- Pragmatic organised and motivated by building scalable structures in a fast-moving environment.
