Your mission
About the role
You will be responsible for the end-to-end group accounting. You will manage the consolidated financial reporting process strengthen internal controls develop accounting policies and be the primary point of contact for auditors. Working closely with the CFO group finance local finance teams and advisors you will help shape Aonics financial infrastructure as the organisation grows. This is a role that requires technical competence. Over time you will lead and develop a small team including a group accountant reporting to you.
Your key responsibilities
1. Group accounting & consolidation
- own the monthly quarterly and annual group consolidation in AARO and annual report
- ensure timely accurate and compliant financial reporting
- design clear scalable reporting structures and data flows2. IFRS & technical accounting
- maintain and develop group accounting principles and policies including financial manual
- prepare IFRS memos technical papers and accounting analyses
- document judgements definitions and frameworks clearly and consistently
- support purchase price allocations new standards and complex transactions3. Audit governance & internal control
- lead the external audit for the consolidated group
- manage communication on technical topics with auditors and advisors
- strengthen internal control over financial reporting
- improve closing routines calendars and documentation4. Systems & process development
- act as owner of the AARO consolidation system
- optimise system logic structure and workflows
- participate in finance transformation and integration projects5. Leadership & collaboration
- mentor and support the group accounting specialist
- work closely with FP&A tax treasury and legal on group-level matters
- engage with local finance teams to improve reporting maturity
Your profile
You are a technically strong structured and analytically sharp finance professional
who thrives on creating clarity and building systems/processes that scale. You
combine strong technical competence with the ability to create clarity and drive
improvements.
We believe you have
- 6-10 years of experience in group accounting consolidation or audit
- deep knowledge and practical experience with IFRS
- hands-on experience with AARO or a comparable consolidation system
- confidence leading consolidated audits and working with senior stakeholders
- a process and system-oriented mindset
- strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Able to communicate efficiently on complex topics and the ability to educate others
- a reliable improvement-focused working style
- Experience from listed environments private equity-backed groups and high-growth companies is a strong advantage
