Job Purpose:
The role will be Engineering Maintenance Technician and will involve:
- Supporting Upstream/Downstream/CIP process equipment Install Commissioning Qualification through the Construction phase of the DS2 project into C&Q and Operational Readiness/Start-Up.
- Work with Engineering teams in building the Maintenance Management database system (EAMS)
- Maintenance SOP/Plan generation and training on the project equipment with a keen eye on safety compliance. Includes LOTO/COHE/ECO plans development and equipment maintenance work instructions.
- Working with a team of welcoming and supportive project colleagues in Engineering Technical Services Operations Quality Utilities as well as sustaining colleagues from the existing Operations Units in Grange Castle.
- Role requires a predominantly Grange Castle site presence.
- Role will be regular days initially then to move to 12/7 or 24/7 shift for facility start-up.
Responsibilities:
Within this role you will be required to:
- Participate in construction system Mechanical Completion (MC) walkdowns. These will be performed with our project Construction Manager (CM) and mechanical/electrical/I&C sub-contractors.
- Work with the site Engineering teams in building the Maintenance Management database system (EAMS) for DS2.
- Assist in the shakedown and commissioning of new equipment during C&Q. Assist in Facility and Equipment start up activities. Provide input on equipment installation start-up operation and troubleshooting to support introduction of new products into DS2.
- Assist in the development the DS2 Preventative Maintenance program. Engage with site sustaining Engineering Operations for input and best practice.
- Assist in developing Engineering Work Instructions/SOPs/LOTO/COHE/ECO procedures/strategies for the safe maintenance of the new equipment. Work with EHS in developing Risk Assessments for maintenance activities.
- Work with the project equipment/system package owners to develop critical spares lists for the equipment for sustaining manufacturing. Work with site Engineering stores to include critical spares.
- Gain an understanding of our site SOPs and amend where necessary for the DS2 building.
- Assist in maintaining a safety orientated Culture cGMP compliant work environment.
- You will be part of a multiskilled maintenance team responsible for front line maintenance across the DS2 building.
- Responsible for completion of all maintenance tasks according to relevant SOPs.
- Complete planned maintenance activities assigned to DS2 Engineering teams and oversee the completion of maintenance routines by third party contractors.
- Perform detailed troubleshooting of issues identified during C&Q and Manufacturing operations.
- Assist with the investigation of Manufacturing operations deviations through site Quality Systems engaging with all relevant personnel and functions as appropriate.
- Seek opportunities for Continuous Improvement using Lean/Six Sigma tools as part of daily Manufacturing operations (Standard Work TPM 5S Method 1 2 etc.).
- Capable of working with individuals and with a team across multiple departments (Engineering Operations EHS Technical Services Quality Utilities C&Q Projects).
Education/Experience:
To be successful in this role you will require:
- Diploma/Degree in an Engineering/Technical discipline or Electrical/Mechanical Trade qualification.
- Minimum 3 years Maintenance/Engineering experience in a biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical/medical devices cGMP manufacturing environment or Maintenance experience in an SOP driven industry such as semiconductor manufacturing.
- Experience executing Engineering tasks using Engineering Maintenance Management systems such as EAMS.
- Experience in troubleshooting equipment issues during commissioning/qualification/start-up/production.
- Experience working in a cleanroom manufacturing environment.
- Experience with use of Lean Tools such as Standard Work/5S and Six Sigma techniques such as Method 1 and 5-Whys.
- Excellent people skills positive influence team orientation diligence documentation problem identification and critical thinking skills.
- An ability to work independently and as a member of a self-managed team in a dynamic challenging environment that requires flexibility and initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
