- Monitors programs designed to maintain/improve product quality.
- Inspects books at various stages of the production process and compiles audit findings to determine compliance with standards policies processes and procedures.
- Performs 28 Quality checklist items required on a per shift basis.
- Conducts 100% inspections at all phases of the manufacturing process on replacement orders when requested.
- Recommends modifications and improvements to systems and procedures.
- Assists in the evaluation and resolution of quality waste and manufacturing issues.
- Helps coordinate ongoing quality improvements within LSIs manufacturing process.
- Provides recommendations to QS Training Specialists on training needs.
- Assists with the monitoring of waste streams in manufacturing process including daily input into waste collection spreadsheets.
- Compiles and analyzes statistical data as part of root cause analysis to determine cause and origin of waste.
- Assists with the evaluation of equipment performance as it relates to utilization of equipment and materials.
- Helps develop and implement projects designed to reduce waste of materials and/or time.
- Conducts quality-related presentations during monthly Safety and Quality Huddles and New Hire Onboarding when requested.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 6-12 months printing-related experience in a book manufacturing setting
Additional Information :
A Shift: Sun. - Tues.
Hours: 7am-7pm every other Saturday 7am-7pm
