Position Summary:
Lead all employees in the Inspection department. May plan work schedules train and support inspection employees provide input to Supervisor/Manager related to team performance and quality metrics sustain 6S standards and communicate to off-shift personnel. As a working Lead continue to perform inspection tasks including First Article In-Process and Final Inspection. Provide input on how to improve or create new inspection processes and have the ability to program Coordinate Measuring Machines/Scanners (CMM). The successful candidate will have experience performing inspections in a machine shop environment and have proficient knowledge of GD&T. In addition they will demonstrate the ability to review and critique AS9102 reports and support audit efforts.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain employee performance and good housekeeping practices.
- Analyze the workload and prioritize tasks to support business needs
- Perform inspection tasks needed.
- Provide instruction and training in all inspection methods.
- Communicate with supervisors or managers on team performance
- Maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with all safety rules.
- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner.

Experience & Education
- High school diploma GED or equivalent is required
- 6 years of recent experience working in inspection is required
- 2 years of experiencing leading others is required
- Experience in manufacturing aerospace or similar industry is preferred
- CNC machine shop environment is strongly preferred
