Job Summary

Our client is looking for an HR Business Partner to join their team.
Salary:
Negotiable
Responsibilities:
  • Develop implement and monitor IR strategies and policies aligned with the Labour Act and company values.
  • Manage disciplinary hearings grievance procedures and arbitration cases to ensure fairness and compliance.
  • Represent the company at the Labour Court and National Employment Council (NEC) where necessary.
  • Advise management on IR trends legislative changes and best practices to minimize disputes.
  • Maintain and update IR records warning letters case logs and employee documentation.
  • Build constructive relationships with trade unions employee representatives and labour authorities.
  • Facilitate effective conflict resolution and employee engagement to maintain workplace harmony.
  • Partner with business leaders to drive workforce planning talent management and performance improvement.
  • Provide HR advisory support to line managers on people management employee engagement and retention strategies.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to execute HR strategies that support business objectives.
  • Ensure alignment of HR policies and practices with organizational culture and legal requirements
  • Support the performance management process including goal setting reviews and development plans.
  • Identify training needs and recommend interventions to close performance or skill gaps.
  • Assist in succession planning and career development initiatives.
  • Ensure HR policies are in line with the Zimbabwe Labour Act and NEC regulations.
  • Conduct internal audits and compliance checks on HR and IR procedures.
  • Keep abreast of new laws regulations and trends affecting employment and provide proactive advice to management.
  • Prepare HR and IR reports for management including disciplinary statistics and staff turnover analysis.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management Industrial Relations Psychology or a related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification or professional certification (e.g. IPMZ Diploma) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Human Resources with at least 3 years specializing in Industrial Relations.
