Position Overview

We are seeking motivated creative individuals who are passionate about social media and content creation and are ready to launch or advance their careers as Social Media Managers. As a Social Media Manager and amp; Content Writer at CareerBuddy you will be trained certified and then outsourced to our client companies to manage their social media presence create engaging content and drive meaningful engagement with their audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation and amp; Strategy

  • Develop engaging original content for various social media platforms (Instagram Facebook Twitter/X LinkedIn TikTok etc.)
  • Write compelling copy for posts captions stories and advertisements
  • Create content calendars aligned with client goals and seasonal trends
  • Design or coordinate creation of graphics videos and other visual content (basic design skills or coordination with designers)
  • Adapt content tone and style to match each clients brand voice
  • Research industry trends and competitor activities to inform content strategy

Social Media Management

  • Manage day-to-day posting and scheduling across multiple platforms
  • Monitor social media channels for comments messages and mentions
  • Respond to audience interactions in a timely and professional manner
  • Build and nurture online communities around client brands
  • Implement hashtag strategies and optimize post timing for maximum reach
  • Manage social media advertising campaigns (boosted posts basic ad campaigns)

Analytics and amp; Reporting

  • Track and analyze key performance metrics (engagement reach growth conversions)
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports for clients using WhereTalent templates
  • Identify whats working and recommend strategic adjustments
  • Set and monitor progress toward social media goals and KPIs
  • Use insights to continuously improve content performance

Client Management

  • Attend regular check-ins with assigned clients (virtual or in-person)
  • Present content plans and performance reports professionally
  • Incorporate client feedback into content strategy
  • Maintain professional boundaries and communication standards
  • Flag urgent issues or opportunities to WhereTalent management

Professional Development

  • Complete WhereTalents initial training program (2-4 weeks)
  • Participate in ongoing learning sessions and workshops
  • Stay updated on social media platform changes and best practices
  • Share learnings and insights with the WhereTalent team
  • Maintain certification in the WhereTalent methodology


Required Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications Journalism English Business or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Writing Skills: Excellent written English with strong grammar spelling and storytelling ability
  • Social Media Savvy: Active personal use of major social media platforms with understanding of how they work
  • Tech Comfort: Comfortable learning new tools and software quickly
  • Reliability: Consistent availability during agreed working hours with strong time management
  • Internet Access: Stable internet connection and suitable device (laptop/desktop)
  • Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Coachability: Willingness to learn accept feedback and adapt to the WhereTalent methodology


Desired Qualifications

  • 6 months to 2 years of experience in social media content writing or digital marketing (internships count!)
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva Adobe Creative Suite or similar)
  • Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite Buffer Later Meta Business Suite)
  • Understanding of social media analytics and reporting
  • Experience managing social media for a brand business or personal brand with measurable results
  • Portfolio or examples of social media content youve created
  • Knowledge of SEO and content marketing principles
  • Video editing skills (CapCut Adobe Premiere Final Cut or similar)
  • Copywriting or creative writing experience

Working Hours and amp; Availability
