Job Summary

The Oxford Hills School District is seeking excellent candidates Special Ed Pre-K Administrative Assistantin South Paris Maine.

OXFORD HILLS SCHOOL DISTRICT

Contracted Hours:

32 Hours/Week duringschool year

20 Hours/Week during summer

QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School Diploma or Equivalent

  1. Computer proficiency required
  2. Human relations skills
  3. Organizational skills
  4. Experience preferred

REPORTS TO:Special Ed Directoror designee

JOB GOAL: To provide for the effective and efficient operation of the office so that the maximum positive impact on the educationof students can be realized.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supports the Districts mission and goals.
  2. Oversee manages and evaluates the office routines and procedures associated with a productive and efficient office.
  3. Schedules appointments and makes arrangements for conferences and interviews as directed by the Special Ed Director or designee.
  4. Maintains confidentiality.
  5. Welcomes visitors provides routine information and directs inquiries to appropriate personnel.
  6. Maintains such student records as required. Keeps necessary files updated and accessible.
  7. Enrolls new Pre-K students where appropriate.
  8. Assumes responsibility for the overall appearance of the office.
  9. Maintains a record of budget as well as separate school accounts in coordination with the Central Office business staff.
  10. Performs other tasks assigned by the Pre-K Special Ed Director or designee.

OXFORD HILLS REGION

The Oxford Hills School District (MSAD 17) comprises the towns of Norway South Paris West Paris Oxford Waterford Harrison Hebron and Otisfield. MSAD 17 shares vocational resources and accepts students in its Oxford Hills Technical School programs from the RSU10 School District towns of Buckfield Hartford and Sumner. Oxford Hills/Nezinscot Adult Education is located within the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.

The Oxford Hills offer a variety of outdoor resources for anyone wishing to enjoy the region whatever the season. The area boasts more than ten lakes and ponds for outdoor recreation a land trust with hundreds of acres for skiing snowshoeing and is in close proximity to several downhill skiing areas! Community support for Oxford Hills athletics and extracurricular activities is very strong and represents the robust regional commitment to the students and schools within the district.
