Job Summary
Are you an experienced project leader with a background in client-side building construction and a passion for delivering high-quality infrastructure outcomes Were looking for a Senior Project Manager to take the reins on complex projects and drive them from concept to completion.
Youll manage end-to-end project delivery with a focus on quality compliance stakeholder satisfaction and value-for-money outcomes. This is a strategic role where your leadership technical knowledge and business acumen will directly influence the success of major construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Prepare comprehensive project management plans select delivery methodologies assess risks and manage lifecycle considerations.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies approvals and WHS standards.
Consultant Procurement & Management:
Prepare project briefs consultant tenders and terms of reference.
Ensure design aligns with project intent statutory requirements and cost-effectiveness.
Contractor Procurement & Delivery:
Develop tenders for traditional and D&C contracts aligned with Australian Standards.
Act as Principals Representative and Contract Superintendent.
Professional Expertise:
Draw on your experience in managing capital works and upgrades from a client-side perspective.
Apply your knowledge of construction law industry practices and stakeholder roles.
Business Acumen & Communication:
Prepare project reports manage stakeholders and achieve time/cost/quality targets.
Track profitability manage approvals and maintain audit-ready documentation.
Leadership:
Lead and mentor internal and external teams across multiple projects.
Provide guidance and oversight to junior project managers.
What You Bring:
Qualifications in building construction or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in managing client-side construction projects.
Strong understanding of procurement contract law and design/construction processes.
Excellent communication reporting and stakeholder management skills.
A collaborative solutions-focused mindset with the ability to lead by example.
