Job Summary

Position Title: Testing Intake Coordinator

Department: Adult Education

Reports To: Director of Adult Education

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY:

Oversees Aiken County Public Schools Testing Program for Adult Education.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish testing dates and types of tests needed
  • Coordinate with Adult Education team the needed dates
  • Set schedule for testing times / Communicate the schedule to teachers and students on timely basis
  • Assign qualified test givers for each test
  • Maintain testing qualifications process for test givers
  • Create budget for testing
  • Create in-house form for testing costs to submit to director
  • Create and publish testing dates
  • Score tests and submit data to Transition Specialist according to pre-established deadlines
  • Coordinate with Transition Specialist students post test needs
  • Create process for time sheets that designate time spent on testing
  • Coordinate HSAP/Virtual testing with Virtual School Coordinator and district office point of contact
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma and/or GED.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write and/or type routine reports and correspondences. Ability to speak effectively before groups of district personnel or organizations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Application of percentages ratios and proportions to practical situations is required.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to analyze information and use logic to address work related issues and problems. Ability to quickly assess employee departmental and administrative needs and provide timely feedback. Ability to apply and follow written oral or diagram form instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

Demonstrate ability to operate a personal and mainframe computer and related software. Ability to develop effective working relationships with staff and district employees. Proficiency with Microsoft applications such as Excel Word and PowerPoint required. Ability to perform duties with a high level of detail and accuracy. Ability to self-monitor and manage multiple tasks while working individually and with members of a group.

The employee will occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds such as boxes of materials. The employee will sometimes push/pull items such as furniture or boxes of materials.

While performing the duties of this job the employee will not sit on a regular basis. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit stand walk talk listen and/or reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision such as to read written or typed material depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Some driving is required. Frequent writing and use of technology are required.

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:

Extra Duty

$17.00/hour

The terms of employment detailed in this job description are based on full time employment during an entire school year. Conditions of employment are adjusted for part time employees or individuals who are hired for less than an entire school year.

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated annually according to Board Policy.
