As Strategic Director for Libre-New Mexico you will guide Libres strategy to expand its impact and help empower more people to improve their lives. Youll partner with social entrepreneurs community leaders and movement builders to align around a shared vision and drive virtuous cycles of mutual benefit. This role is about creating conditions where bottom-up innovation thrives not top-down control.

How You Will Contribute

Partner with the AFP state director and LIBRE national staff to develop and execute the strategy for LIBRE in New Mexico to help us achieve our objectives
Identify recruit and meet with allied groups throughout the state to discuss build and execute strategies to advocate for public policy changes that advance our Vision
Serve as spokesperson for LIBRE across New Mexico
In collaboration with LIBRE Foundation and state chapter staff you will develop and execute public policy educational events with coalition partners to support community building and grassroots organizing efforts
Organize and participate in direct lobbying/testifying at the legislature
Partner with state chapter leadership to build and manage relationships in the legislature

What You Will Bring

Knowledge of state and federal public policy landscapes
You can think of new ways to achieve our goals towards better public policy and develop the detailed plans to get us there
Experience driving grassroots actions through coalition building and/or grassroots organizing
Demonstrated experience developing and executing strategies in collaborative remote matrixed organizations
Supervising individuals and developing their talent
Ability to build mutually beneficial relationships around a shared Vision
Thrive in collaborative fast-paced and deadline-driven environments
Comfortable working remotely and in office environments
Ability to travel for day and overnight trips in and out of state
Valid drivers license
Previous experience working in Hispanic communities in New Mexico
Fluent in Spanish and English
