A hospital in Vernal UT is seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy to lead and oversee all pharmacy operations. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring safe effective and compliant pharmaceutical services while advancing departmental performance quality and patient-centered care. The Director of Pharmacy plays a key role in supporting the organizations mission to improve community health outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesDirect all pharmacy department activities and resources to achieve clinical and organizational objectives
Develop implement and maintain departmental goals policies and standards consistent with clinical administrative legal and ethical requirements
Oversee pharmacy operations including patient care delivery information systems service levels and complaint management
Plan manage and evaluate staffing activities including hiring onboarding performance evaluations disciplinary actions and continuing education
Prepare monitor and manage the department budget to ensure compliance with allocated funding
Coordinate and lead internal and external audits
Foster a professional environment that supports staff development and continuous improvement
Integrate evidence-based practices into pharmacy operations and clinical protocols
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards including HIPAA and other applicable requirements
Manage staff performance through effective scheduling supervision training development and corrective action
