Job Summary

Job Title: Quotations Specialist (Switchgear)
Location: Palmetto FL
Duration: Full Time

Job Responsibilities:

Review blueprints specifications and proposals to prepare accurate time material and labor estimates for switchgear projects.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with engineering and production teams to ensure designs are practical and align with LFGs manufacturing capabilities.
Quotations & Proposals: Generate professional competitive proposals that meet customer requirements while supporting profitability and long-term partnerships.
Vendor & Supplier Relations: Issue RFQs secure competitive pricing negotiate with suppliers and recommend alternatives where appropriate.
Customer Engagement: Work alongside sales to strategize on bids clarify requirements and support customers through the quoting process.
Value Engineering: Identify opportunities to optimize designs and reduce costs without sacrificing quality or performance.
Tracking & Reporting: Maintain historical cost databases supplier information and ensure accurate documentation of all bids and proposals.
Follow-Up: Track open quotes support transition from awarded projects and provide input on post-project reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

Bachelors degree preferred (engineering construction business or related field) OR relevant experience in electrical estimating quotations or project coordination.
2 years of experience in electrical distribution switchgear or manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings specifications and bid packages.
Strong math analytical and organizational skills with an eye for detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MRP or estimation software is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with sales teams suppliers and customers.
