- Aligns with themarketingteam in understanding competitor issuestherapeuticarea strategies and communicating commercial messages to stakeholders
Medical Information
- Respond to internal and external medical inquiries that include: disease informationpharmacologyof Abbott productsclinicalstudies product information.
- Assessmedical informationfor safety issues and create individual case safety report as necessary
Patient SupportPrograms
- Provide scientific andethicalguidance tomarketingmanagers in conceptualizing programs that will enhance benefits topharmacologicaland non-pharmacologicalinterventions topatient
- Reviewcontents ofpatient-centric materials disseminated by Abbott and specific programs thataimto assist patients family members and community cope with diseases
- Track and keep an inventory ofpatient supportprograms andmarket researchprograms to ensure compliance toethicalguidance and monitor for anypharmacovigilanceissues
New Product Introductions
- Provide theBusiness DevelopmentUnit medical input in evaluating products for potential introduction into the local market
- Provide medical support to themarketingteam during the earlyplanning/strategies phase for new productsline extensions and/or new indications
Continuing Medical Education
- Work with the CME personnel inplanningfor medical modules for use in CME activities like round table discussions experts forum
- Work with the CME Personnel andTherapeutic/Brand Managers in deliberating with KOL and Advisory Board members regarding the contents of medical modules for specific products
- Reviewcontents of medical modules invitations to CME activities CME AVPs to ensure compliance to internal and external regulations

- As the Affiliate Safety Representative (ASR) work in coordination with the Medical Manager(ASR Back-up)Quality AssuranceSpecialist and Regulatory personnel in ensuring a workingpharmacovigilancesystem. The affiliatepharmacovigilancesystem includes the following functions:
- Maintenance of updated PVorganizational structureActs as point person in receiving adverse event reports from all potential sources of individual case safety reports (ICSR) Conduct regular PVTrainingof all Abbott Laboratories- EPD employees partners service providers contractors Maintain and update PVtracking systems: ICSR PV agreement with third partiesMedical Information PSUR submissions PV localSOPsPatient SupportProgramsMarketing ResearchProgramsOwnershipof local PVSOPs: tracking updating andtrainingto relevant Abbott EPD employeesActas contact person on all PV matters for Abbott employees EPD Global PV Third Party partners Regulatory authority
Minimum Qualification:
Preferably at least three years ofpharmaceuticalindustry experience and at least one year of postgraduateclinical experience
