Assistant Manager / Manager (Strategic Relations) ()
Reporting to the Director Institutional Research and Strategic Planning of OIRP the Manager (Strategic Relations) plays a key role in coordinating the Universitys participation in major international higher education forums and fostering collaborative relationships that support the Universitys strategic development and global profile.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to strengthen the Universitys relationships with global evaluation bodies data analytics organisations and higher education networks;
- Coordinate the Universitys participation in international higher education forums conferences summits and partnership events ensuring effective representation and alignment with institutional priorities;
- Support the Director of OIRP in managing strategic relations concerning institutional performance evaluation and reputation;
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including senior management faculties and administrative units to prepare institutional narratives briefing materials and presentations that articulate the Universitys achievements and strategic directions;
- Monitor global trends in higher education reputation and institutional performance synthesising insights into actionable recommendations for key University stakeholders;
- Contribute to cross-unit projects and initiatives that enhance the Universitys international profile data-informed decision-making and strategic collaborations; and
- Represent OIRP and the University in professional communities to cultivate long-term partnerships and collaborative opportunities.
Requirements:
- A bachelors degree preferably in Communications International Relations Business or a related field;
- At least five years of relevant experience in stakeholder management or strategic communications ideally within the higher education sector;
- Strong project management and organisational skills with proven ability to manage complex initiatives involving multiple internal and external stakeholders;
- Excellent communication writing and presentation skills in English Putonghua and Cantonese;
- Demonstrated understanding of global higher education dynamics including institutional performance benchmarking international partnerships and reputation management;
- A proactive collaborative and strategic mindset with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced cross-cultural environment; and
- Candidates with less relevant experience or qualifications may be considered for appointment at the rank of Assistant Manager.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
The initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two -appointment thereafter is subject to performance review and mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
