Job Summary

Maintenance Planner Berlin East London (Shift Work)

We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Maintenance Planner at a leading industrial plant in Berlin East London. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to ensure the efficient planning and execution of all preventative and corrective maintenance activities in a dynamic industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse maintenance data and generate management reports and graphs.

  • Develop maintenance schedules and create work orders.

  • Maintain parts inventory and identify critical spare parts.

  • Prepare maintenance reports (downtime analysis energy savings oil consumption compressor hours).

  • Update maintenance files server documentation and legal compliance records.

  • Draft procedural manuals to guide maintenance tasks.

  • Estimate labour and parts costs for industrial equipment.

  • Adjust schedules to accommodate emergency maintenance work.

  • Support the GL & Maintenance Manager with reporting.

  • Act as a liaison between maintenance teams and operations.

  • Ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements (OHS cranes forklifts oil samples IR scanning COCs).

  • Coordinate with artisans contractors and external vendors.

  • Develop preventative maintenance plans aligned with organisational goals.

  • Maintain and update skills matrices and radar charts for technicians and specialists.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and electrical systems.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Project).

  • Experience with CMMS software (SAP Maximo Uptime Navision Power BI).

  • Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles PM CM Predictive Maintenance.

  • Understanding of SHE compliance inspections and load tests.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.

  • Strong planning organisational communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach.


Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • NQF Level 12 (Matric)

  • N6 Diploma or Degree in Maintenance Mechanical Electrical Engineering or relevant Management field.

  • Minimum 3 years experience in maintenance planning within a production or automotive manufacturing environment.

  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience as an artisan or technician.

  • CMMS experience (SAP Maximo Uptime Power BI).

  • Understanding of OPEX and CAPEX budgets.
