Job Summary
Title: IT - Windows Systems Administrator
Location : Candidates within the state of California will be considered.
Mode : The role is hybrid and will require travel to the office for quarterly meetings typically in Oakland or San Ramon.
Sr. Local candidates strongly preferred!!
A personal laptop can be used until a PG&E laptop is received.
Top skills include : PowerShell scripting SCCM knowledge and Windows Server expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and support a large installation of Microsoft Windows Servers;
- perform programming and scripting primarily in PowerShell; apply in-depth knowledge of Windows OS internals
- including registries and permissions;
- utilize performance analysis and monitoring tools;
- support planning and deployment activities for various departmental projects involving MS Windows OS;
- perform and manage security patching and maintenance according to standards;
- collaborate with Project Managers and Application SMEs to verify system builds;
- resolve issues related to security patching and application installations; work with third-party vendors to verify and troubleshoot system-specific issues;
- execute and support in-place upgrades.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years as a Microsoft Windows Administrator and 2 4 years of virtualization.
Candidates should have hands-on experience with Windows Server versionsand common Microsoft environment technologies such as Active Directory and SCCM.
Must be able to run maintain and write basic PowerShell scripts.
Experience with AWS or Azure is a plus.
Work location: Oakland General Office (OGO) Campus Oakland General Office (Building).
