JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Bookkeeper to support our Team Leader in delivering accurate efficient and timely bookkeeping services. This role requires strong attention to detail excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining the highest professional standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Supports the TL in the performance of their duties.

    Accurately enters all transactions daily/weekly/monthly into accounting system.

    Uploads supporting evidence for all transactions entered.

    Performs bank reconciliations for all client bank accounts.

    Preparation of payroll for multiple entities on a weekly basis.

    Preparation of monthly or Quarterly PAYGW PAYGI or Business Activity Statements including fully reconciled Trial Balance workpapers.

    Prepares Annual Employee Payment Summaries.

    Preparation of quarterly superannuation returns for all entities as required.

    Monitor and ensure compliance with all statutory deadlines and submission of returns for clients by the deadline.

    Reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts with main general ledger account.

    Reconciles general ledger accounts with external records (eg ATO integrated client account super and payroll tax).

    Able to competently prepare a fully reconciled Trial Balance.

    Promptly informs the Team Leader of any issues with accounts.

    Maintains and builds a supportive and effective team culture.

    Upholds and promotes the firms values.

    Maintains the highest ethical and professional standards.



Requirements

    Basic Skills with XERO MYOB QuickBooks or equivalent;

    Intermediate Word and Excel skills.

    Excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word Certification.

    Familiarity with the Australian Taxation Office portal.

    Well-honed bookkeeping skills with above average communication skills.

    At least 3 years experience in Bookkeeping or Accounting.
