About this opportunity
The Production Scheduler is responsible for planning scheduling and coordinating blow molding operations activities to ensure optimal utilisation of resources timely delivery of products and alignment with customer demand. This role requires close collaboration with production maintenance quality and supply chain teams to maintain efficient operations and minimise downtime. It is critical that we consistently meet our production timelines to uphold quality and customer trust.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Develop and maintain daily weekly and monthly production schedules for blow molding machines to ensure orders are delivered in-full and on-time.
- Plan and review resin requirements materials ordering and execute planning.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand machine availability or material supply.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure availability of raw materials and packaging.
- Collaborate with maintenance to schedule preventive maintenance and minimize production disruptions.
- Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Communicate schedule changes and priorities to production supervisors and operators.
- Ensure compliance with safety quality and environmental standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production schedules output and downtime.
- Inventory requirements including co-ordinating resources and liaising with internal and external key contacts to ensure work is delivered on time to our quality specifications and requirements.
- Manage the planning and purchasing of raw materials to ensure material requirements can be fulfilled against supplier and transport availability to meet the Production Plan.
- Manage to finish material inventory levels order finishing material stock (pallets etc.) and liaise with suppliers and sites regarding timely supply and inventory levels.
- Actively participate in the safety health environmental and wellbeing activities maintaining compliance to policies processes and safe systems of working.
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role youll have:
- specialist level experience in a similar role ideally within the FMCG manufacturing or distribution industries.
- Experience in ERP systems (preferable SAP) and strong computer and excel skills (advanced technical understanding of planning and ordering to a manufacturing production schedule).
- High level of organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills at the appropriate level or all stakeholders - active listening written verbal and formal presentations as required.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations.
Qualifications :
Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain/Commerce/Business/Engineering or similar discipline or other supply chain qualifications
