Avocado is currently looking for a Warehouse Handler to join our Shipping Team. This role is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations including shipping inventory management organization and safety.
- Note on Location: Here at Avocado Green Brands we treasure teamwork and working together in person. Depending on the role you will be working on-site at one of our Fullerton locations.
- Note on Pay Transparency: The pay range for this role is$16.50-$17.44 Hourly.
- Type of role:This role is a seasonal role.
WHAT YOULL BE WORKING ON
Ship outbound packages and freight while maintaining inventory accuracy and an organized warehouse.
Pull and prepare orders for shipping via FedEx UPS AGS or other carriers.
Load and unload pallets and cartons from trailers collecting and staging empty or damaged pallets.
Palletize label and stretch-wrap materials and shipments.
Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts pallet jacks and other equipment.
Work collaboratively with team members to meet established daily and monthly goals.
Assist with monthly inventory counts and reconciliation.
Support returns processing including re-boxing and labeling.
Recycle plastic cardboard and broken pallets in line with Avocados sustainability values.
Maintain a clean safe and orderly warehouse environment.
WHAT YOU BRING
Ability to lift and move heavy items safely (team lifting required for larger items).
Forklift experience preferred but not required (training provided).
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Dexterity to safely handle materials and equipment.
Ability to identify potential hazards and follow all company safety protocols and Cal OSHA regulations.
Willingness to report incidents injuries or hazards promptly to managers.
Dependable with regular and predictable attendance.
Ability to move products using carts dollies and pallet jacks.
Commitment to maintaining cleanliness in inventory loading areas and equipment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Lift/Move: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and team lift heavier items.
Stationary/Active: This role requires frequent standing walking bending stooping and reaching throughout the shift.
Operate: Must be able to safely operate pallet jacks dollies and other warehouse equipment; forklift operation a plus.
