Scope:
At our plant in Mogi Mirim Brazil we develop and manufacture shock absorbers for light and heavy vehicles for the main car manufacturers in Brazil. Theplant has about 950 employees. The HR Manager will oversee a team of 5-6 HRspecialists/Generalist. This role will report to the Executive HR Director and Plant Manager
Purpose:
The HR manager is a critical component of a successful plant management team. With a thorough understanding of the sites operations productivity target processes/systems and safety requirements you ensure integration and alignment of people & strategic goals. The safety of our employees is our No 1 priority!
- As a member of the plant management team you are contributing to all KPIs of the plant and driving people engagement and accountability.
- Partner with the plant manager & other functional leaders to analyze & forecast workforce requirements. This role will lead execution of workforce planning objectives.
- Develop and implement hiring strategies to attract top talent for manufacturing and engineering roles.
- Manage the onsite HR team comprised of generalists payroll analysts etc.
- Manage onboarding programs to enhance employee integration and retention.
- Foster a positive work environment through proactive employee engagement initiatives.
- Address employee concerns mediate conflicts and ensure fair treatment in accordance with company policies.
- Develop and implement employee recognition and retention programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations.
- Manage workplace policies and procedures to maintain compliance with industry and safety standards.
- Oversee audits and reporting related to HR functions.
- Implement performance appraisal systems and guide managers in conducting evaluations.
- Develop training programs to enhance employee skills leadership and career development.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in employee development and productivity.
- Work with leadership to design competitive compensation and benefits packages.
- Ensure proper administration of payroll benefits and incentive programs.
- Manage leave policies workers compensation and employee assistance programs.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business objectives.
- Support change management initiatives including company growth restructuring and cultural transformation.
- Maintain relationships with the union settle grievances at the plant level serve as lead of union negotiations.
- Drive diversity equity and inclusion initiatives.
- Work with other local leaders to develop and manage the employees budget.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years progressive Human Resources experience. Among that 2 years as HR leader experience would be preferred
- Solid recruiting experience/skills.
- Experience in training and facilitation.
- Excellent communication skills (written verbal and interpersonal skills)
- Intermediate/advanced English
- Manufacturingenvironment union experience required.
- Strong customer focus.
- A team player that is results driven able to work under pressure has strong leadership skills high energy strong organizational skills is empathetic and able to deal with issues in an open honest manner.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries orrequests from employees and management.
- Ability to effectively present information to employees and management.
- Strong understanding ofHR legislative requirements/laws (State & Federal).
- EHS knowledge preferred
