He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi About the role:
As an Asset Management Planner youll play a key role in keeping KiwiRails network running safely and efficiently. Youll work alongside Regional Asset Managers and other engineering teams to develop and maintain forward works plans for rail infrastructure across the country.
This includes preparing accurate three-year and ten-year asset forecasts ensuring our plans align with KiwiRails long-term strategies and monitoring performance against objectives. Youll help us make evidence-based decisions that support reliable services smart investment and a great customer experience.

Were looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a collaborative approach. You will bring:
- 510 years experience in asset management planning scheduling or works management
- Strong analytical and data-visualisation skills using tools such as Power BI Excel or GIS
- Working knowledge of engineering standards and processes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and an understanding of how KiwiRail operates within government frameworks
- A relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience
- A current New Zealand drivers licence and willingness to travel as required
