Duties and Responsibilities

1. Engineering Management & Execution

• Lead the planning design and implementation of technical projects across facilities infrastructure and systems.
  

• Review and approve engineering drawings specifications and technical documentation.
  

• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  

• Ensure engineering solutions are scalable maintainable and aligned with operational goals.
  

2. Systems & Infrastructure Oversight

• Oversee the design operation and maintenance of mechanical electrical and process systems supporting upstream operations.
  

• Implement preventive and corrective maintenance strategies to optimize system performance and reliability.
  

• Support the integration of automation instrumentation and control systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  

3. Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure all technical activities comply with relevant codes standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. API ASME ISO).
  

• Lead technical audits HAZOPs and risk assessments to identify and mitigate operational risks.
  

• Maintain documentation and records in line with QA/QC protocols and industry best practices.
  

4. Strategic Planning & Innovation

• Contribute to long-term technical strategy including technology adoption and continuous process improvement.
  

• Evaluate and recommend new tools software and methodologies to strengthen engineering capabilities.
  

• Support feasibility studies technical evaluations and proposals for new business opportunities.
  

5. Team Leadership & Development

• Mentor and develop engineering and technical staff fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  

• Set performance goals conduct appraisals and identify training needs.
  

• Promote collaboration innovation and knowledge sharing across technical teams.
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 810 years of industry experience in technical roles within upstream oil and gas with 23 years in a leadership position.
  

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Petroleum Chemical or related discipline).
  

• Masters degree or MBA is preferred
  

• Certifications in PMP ISO or Engineering standards are an advantage
  

• Proven experience in technical project management and in leading or managing a team of engineers.
  

• Demonstrated track record of verifiable high-quality achievements in previous roles.
  

• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Primavera is required.
  

• COREN and BOSIET certifications are mandatory.
  

• Strong understanding of engineering standards asset integrity and operational risk management.
  

• Excellent communication analytical and stakeholder management skills.
