Support the Districts Communications & Board Services Bureau managing multiple tasks and priorities in fast-paced team-oriented environment. As part of the Board and Executive Services Section this position will provide administrative support to Executive Communications Government and Community Affairs the Ombudsman the Inspector General and the Governing Board. Coordinates public meetings including preparing agendas and taking minutes. Notices meetings in the Florida Administrative Register (FAR) and local newspapers as well as tracks noticing invoices and noticing budgets. Coordinates editing and retention of governing documents. Assists with the development and tracking of budgets. Assists with creating the monthly Governing Board meeting packet including routing and editing items. Serves as main backup support to the receptionist.
The District supports employees who prefer flexible schedule or a remote work schedule so that they can enjoy their time outside of the District through work-life balance. This role is considered hybrid which means the employee will be required to come on-site and may work a portion of their time remotely (must live in Florida). Starting Compensation:
Administrative Coordinator 3 $17.19 - $23.22
Administrative Coordinator 4 $18.31 - $24.86
The starting salary range for the Administrative Coordinator positionreflects the minimum to 63.8% of the compensation. The starting salary will be based on the education and experience of the successful candidate. The District conducts annual performance evaluations that may award applicable pay increases based on positive employee performance.
Essential Functions
- Works closely with project managers to format and assemble the Consolidated Annual Report. Conducts editing proofing printing and mailing of draft and final document.
- Provides administrative support for Executive Communications Government and Community Affairs the Inspector General and the Ombudsman. This includes mail and phone call processing and routing data entry reviewing and editing documents scheduling meetings attending meetings to take minutes and serving as primary backup for the receptionist.
- Provides administrative support for public meetings. Serves as the primary support for Springs meetings and backup support for Advisory Committee meetings. Attends planning meetings and provides feedback on clerical data; prepares documents for meetings; coordinates attendance and records minutes. Helps facilitate meetings as needed.
- Conducts noticing of District public meetings; prepares noticing documents for FAR and newspapers tracks noticing invoices and the noticing budget.
- Supports the Districts Knowledge Management initiative by creating editing and storing governing documents for Executive Communications Government and Community Affairs Staff Inspector General and the Ombudsman.
Working Conditions
Employee works in a standard office environment. Occasional travel usually during the workday is required. Performs continuous repetitive tasks (to include keyboarding) with one or both hands. Occasionally lifts and carries objects up to 10 pounds. Occasionally requires bending and reaching above shoulder level. May spend time out in the field in remote areas. Possible travel to other offices. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
Employee may be subject to call-in outside of regularly scheduled work hours or required to be on call including on nights weekends or holidays to respond to emergency management activities or other incidents requiring rapid response in support of District operations.

- High School Diploma or Equivalent (or higher)
- Four (4) years related work experience
- Valid drivers license
Administrative Coordinator 4
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and Seven (7) years related work experience OR Associates degree (or higher) and Five (5) years related work experience
- Valid drivers license

Additional Details
The primary work location for this position is out of the Brooksville FL office however up to 2 days of remote work is available after training. This position is eligible for overtime time for hours worked over 40 hours in a week.
