Job Summary
Introduction
Our client a national chemical manufacturer seeks to appoint a Junior Buyer with import/export and international trade experience. Must have Matric/Grade12 with a relevant tertiary qualification and at least 1-3 years experience in a similar position.
This role focuses onexpediting of local shipmentsensuring timely and cost-effective deliveryas well as buildingrelationships with suppliers negotiating best prices quantities and delivery timescalescollaborating with cross-functional teamsprocessing requisitionsand updating production on the status of ordersupdating inventory and managing stock levelsarranging transport of goods and tracking orders to ensure timely deliverymaintaining accurate documentationof processes and procedures ensuringadherence to ISO standardsand facilitating successful audits generating and processing ofbranch ordersloading price lists and supplier documentation on agreed platformsresolving any invoicing quantity or price variancesother general administration as required for the department.
