Job Summary

Introduction

Our client seeks to appoint an experienced and qualified technicalSenior Syspro Administratorto join their team and take ownership of a highly customised Syspro ERP system. This is a critical role requiring deep technical expertise inSyspro administrationdatabase architecture andcustom program managementwithin ahighly customized environmentwith particular emphasis onjob costing project and contracts modules in a multi-entity environment.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

System Administration & Configuration

Manage Syspro installations hotfixes and version upgrades across multiple environments
Configure system-wide settings company configurations and Syspro modules
Install and maintain custom programs and power-tailored solutions
Oversee application and database server environments including IIS services and layers

Database SQL Server & Architecture Management

Maintain database integrity performance tuning and optimization of SQL Server settings
Support database migrations upgrades and integration components
Implement indexing strategies query optimization and memory allocation improvements
Design and execute archiving strategies for historical data

Implementation & Upgrade Leadership

Develop detailed project plans for Syspro upgrades and database migrations
Assess impact on third-party integrations customizations VB scripts and custom reports
Configure and maintain test environments to mirror production changes
Lead UAT initiatives and resolve upgrade-related issues

Custom Program & Integration Support

Document customized Syspro programs and create relational database diagrams
Support business process flows for custom solutions
Ensure smooth operation of Syspros API and integration layer
Advise on technical and functional specifications in collaboration with ERP Business Analysts

Security & Compliance

Design role-based access controls and user permission structures
Prepare audit reports for stakeholders reviewing user access and program configurations
Integrate authentication systems including Active Directory and SSO
Create comprehensive system documentation for customizations and non-standard configurations

Data Management & Operations

Execute bulk data imports using Syspro tools SQL scripts and Business Objects
Oversee month-end and year-end processes performed by Syspro Administrators
Implement data cleanup and housekeeping initiatives
Monitor system health and escalate issues to IT management

Business Continuity

Support disaster recovery planning design and testing
Implement backup solutions with regular database restore testing
Ensure system uptime and operational stability

Essential Requirements

Extensive Syspro experiencein a highly customized environment with deep understanding of integration and installation
Solid technical knowledgeof Syspro upgrades in custom environments
Strong focuson Job Costing Project and Contracts modules
Database architecture expertisewith SQL Server administration skills
Proven abilityto work with customized interfaces automated tasks and power-tailored scripts
