About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to lead our dedicated team across our DOSA & Day Surgery unit. You will be responsible for the overall operational management of this newly opened unit.
The NUM will play a critical role in creating a cohesive and collaborative environment supported by the Assistant Nurse Unit Manager Registered and Enrolled Nurses and Administrative staff. Your responsibilities will include implementing quality systems in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards maintaining a commitment to continuous improvement and identifying clinical risks to ensure patient-centered care.
About You
Success in this role requires a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and superior customer service aligned with Ramsays core values. Your advanced communication skills will enable you to effectively manage the fast-paced nature of the environment while demonstrating strong leadership qualities.
You will also bring;
- Current AHPRA registration and a Bachelor of Nursing
- Minimum 5 years postgraduate experience in DOSA/Day Surgery environment
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to engage motivate and support teams effectively
- Experience managing budgets including labor costs.
Highly regarded:
- Postgraduate qualifications in management or leadership.
- Previous experience in a senior leadership or management rolewithin a hospital setting
Remuneration:
On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $66.09 superannuation based on experience level and qualifications exclusive of penalties or allowances.
