About the role

Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team of professionals in providing excellent patient care on a part time basis (64 hours per fortnight) working various shifts across a 7-day roster. This position is in the surgical ward covering cases mixes across general surgery urology colorectal gynaecological.

As a Registered Nurse Surgical your responsibilities will include:

Deliver evidence-based nursing care
Liaise with the multi-disciplinary team
Ensure patient and staff safety
Supervise direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and (AINs) to deliver patient care
Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient
Document into the patients medical record objectively clearly concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology

Essential Criteria:

Authority to Work in Australia

Bachelor of Science (Nursing)

1-2 years surgical experience (desirable)

Current Registration (no restriction) with AHPRA

Compliance with ACQSHC National standards

Sound clinical decision making and problem-solving skills

Self-motivated and proven ability to work as part of a high functioning team

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Highly developed interpersonal skills proactive motivated and customer focused

Experience in the care of one or more post-surgical specialties neurosurgery orthopaedics general surgery colorectal gynaecology plastics.
