About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Grade 2 Registered Nurse with perioperative Scrub/Scout experience in General Surgery ENT Plastics Urology and Neuro and Orthopaedic Surgery who are seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity to become part of our dynamic team on a permanent basis.
We are able to provide you with excellent educational opportunities across a broad range of specialities including Cardiothoracic Vascular Neurosurgery ENT Plastics General Urology and Orthopaedics.
Classifications for this position will range from YP3 - YP9 ($69253.60 - $92601.60 pro rata per annum)
Duties
Ability to work efficiently as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Managing the physical and emotional well-being of the patient
Administration of medication in accordance with hospital procedures protocols and policies
Assist with medical and diagnostic procedures carried out in the unit
Document observe and report relevant nursing findings within the framework of nursing progress.
A Bit About You
Completed Bachelor of Nursing Degree with a current Nursing Registration with AHPRA
Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (desirable)
Minimum 3 years of current experience in perioperative nursing and a good understanding of the current standards of practice
Motivated professional & exhibiting exceptional communication and time management skills.

About the Department
St Vincents Operating Suite currently houses 12 theatres 12 anaesthetic rooms and a Post Anaesthetic Care Area. Working alongside the Sterile Processing Centre Day Procedures and Endoscopy Centres. The department undertakes over 9000 procedures per year in a vast range of highly specialised and complex specialities over a 24 hour period 7 days per week.
