As an Accounts Assistant you will play a key role in supporting the Accounts Manager and ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts payable function across multiple entities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Processing invoices and expense claims in a timely manner and in accordance with company policies.
- Responding to queries professionally and efficiently.
- Producing Oracle payment files and monitoring bank statements for rejections.
- Assisting with payment files across multiple currencies.
- Conducting analytical reviews of payments including trend analysis to identify anomalies.
- Supporting the AP Manager with ad-hoc requests.
- Assisting auditors by providing timely files and responses to queries.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Prior accounts payable experience ideally in a multi-currency environment within financial services.
- Experience with integrated and computerized accounting systems (Oracle preferred).
- Familiarity with invoice scanning and approval workflow products.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- Proactive attitude strong attention to detail and good relationship-building skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze processes and identify control weaknesses.
- Self-starter adaptable and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Fluency in English both written and spoken.
