Accounts Payable 18 month fixed term contract

Reporting to the Senior Accountant this is an 18-month fixed term contract created to assist with current business demands.  In this role we are looking for an outgoing and autonomous operator with experience in operating in our overall AP function to ensure accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices and expense reports.  With strong attention to detail and a willingness to go the extra mile you are someone with the ability to manage our invoice and statement processing

In this role you will:

• Verify customer details
• Gather business requirements for new systems on the payable end-to-end process
• Assist in the gap analysis with other project implementation team members
• Work closely with the project implementation team and provide input from the business on the payable system configuration
• Prepare testing scenarios and participate in the SIT and UAT testing on the payable related process in the new system
• Provide regular updates on the implementation progress & follow up with stakeholders to get outstanding issues resolved

This role is based in Parnell Auckland.  Working as part of a fun and dedicated team you will be joining the organisation at a busy time. Therefore the ability to hit the ground running is essential. This team works hand in hand with the wider organisation so you will receive exposure to a wide range of transactions. Qualifications :

Heres what youll bring to the table:

• A minimum of two years in an Accounts Payable role is essential
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
• Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail
• Experience with Accounting Software such as Oracle SAP or Xero
• Experience with CargoWise would be an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work with people at all levels across the organisation with a team mentality
• An ability to analyse reports whilst maintaining high levels of confidentiality

You will have excellent attention to detail with a strong attitude to complete tasks correctly the first addition you will have a good understanding of what Best Practice looks like armed with a can do attitude to enable you to fulfil your role.

You will have the right to live and work in New Zealand at the time of applying. The successful candidate may be subject to undergo a Police Check and/or Pre-Employment Drug Test.
