Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team on a night shift contract basis in Utica NY. This is an exciting opportunity for RNs with strong critical care experience to contribute in a high-acuity fast-paced ICU environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical expertise excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and comprehensive care to critically ill patients in various ICU settings including SICU CTICU Trauma ICU MS ICU and Neuro ICU.
- Manage patients requiring CRRT and Prismaflex therapy.
- Monitor assess and document patient conditions and progress.
- Administer medications and therapies in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and evaluate patient care.
- Serve as a resource for other staff and may be required to float to other ICU units as needed.
- Charge nurse experience is preferred may be expected to take charge if qualified.
- Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and care coordination.
Required Requirements:
- Active NY RN License & All active RN licenses (required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience:
- Medical Surgical ICU
- Surgical ICU
- Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU)
- Trauma ICU
- Neuro ICU
- Documented travel RN experience
- Current certifications (All Required):
- AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
- AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- EMR Experience: EPIC (required)
- Clinical Requirements:
- Must have experience with CRRT and Prismaflex
- Heart/Cardiac ICU experience is highly preferred
- Floating: Required across ICU units
