Job Description
Amazon is seeking for Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) Technicians to join our Maintenance & Engineering team at our Delivery Station in Mulgrave Melbourne.
The focus of the Maintenance Technician role is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to to ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time to a high standard and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.
Please note that the current shift pattern includes 10 hour shifts x 4 days and working during weekends and the expected start date is in January 2026

Key job responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.
- Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out.
- React quickly to breakdowns communicate clearly with affected teams and work efficiently to fix the issue.
- Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.
- Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
- Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians.
A day in the life
Our RME Technicians are based on-site so they can respond quickly to any machinery issues. Youll carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to our sites equipment to make sure its working safely. As an RME Technician youll also respond promptly to breakdowns investigating finding and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. Youll also make suggestions for long-term improvements.
Working alongside senior colleagues youll undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks general building maintenance.

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering or RME team keep our equipment performing at its best. Were a technically minded team made up of excellent team players and guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network of fulfilment centres.
- Experience in preventative maintenance systems
- 1 years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE) experience
- Experience interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings
- 1 years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience
- Experience working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations
- Formal Trade Qualifications: Certificate lll in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively an equivalent trade qualification formally recognised in Australia.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Experience designing solutions for large high-volume sorting operations
- Experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience with automated controls
- Experience of automated equipment including packaging machinery sortation and conveyor systems
