DescriptionGuided by practice education and research senior residents at Charter House are provided the best care experience focused on total wellness. We are looking for passionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team. Responsibilities will include:
- Delivery of direct resident care.
- Supervising the nursing care provided by professional nursing team.
- Planning implementing and evaluating resident care.
- Assessing plans in collaboration with the resident family and/or significant other and the interdisciplinary health care team.
- Adhering to Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice and Nurse Practice Act.
*This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship; Also Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
QualificationsTo be considered for this position you must have:
- An associate degree or diploma from an Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited program.
- An associate degree from a non-ACEN accredited nursing program is acceptable if you have at least 1 year of RN experience in the past five years in an applicable care setting.
*If graduation did not occur within the last two years 1 year of RN experience in an applicable care setting or one year of current LPN experience at Mayo Clinic is required.
Additional Requirements
- One year of work experience in Long Term Care or Home Health or two years of acute care nursing is preferred.
- Ability to work independently.
- Good communication and human relation skills to interact with Health Service and Charter House staff.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to collect compare sort and prioritize information to be used in the decision-making process for groups of resident and employees.
- Ability to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress.
License/Certifications
- Minnesota Registered Nurse license is required.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification for Health Care Providers is required from one of the following providers: American Heart Association Red Cross or Military Training Network.
