Job Summary

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the NICU provides skilled nursing care to newborns requiring specialized attention. This role involves patient assessments medication administration treatment planning and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. Strong communication and collaboration with patients providers and other team members are critical.
Location:Apple Valley California United States
Responsibilities:

- Patient assessments specific to newborns in the NICU
- Medication administration
- Treatment planning
- Collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
- Providing skilled nursing care
- Monitoring vital signs and responding to changes in patient condition
- Documentation of patient care and related duties
Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of working
- BCLS certification
- NRP certification
- PALS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience
Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Bachelors degree in Nursing or related field
Special Considerations:

- Must be able to work every other weekend with the possibility of exceeding that frequency to meet unit needs.
- All requests for time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission and are subject to facility approval based on their needs.
- Facility allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
