Employee Relations Consultant (Temporary Position)

Our Human Resources team is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to join our Global Policy and Risk team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in employee relations with a strong background in investigating complaints of discrimination and harassment. This role requires a proactive and empathetic individual who can handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into complaints of discrimination harassment and other workplace issues.

  • Act as a point of contact for employee concerns complaints and workplace conflicts.

  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on employee relations matters including conflict resolution performance management and disciplinary actions.

  • Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with HR and legal teams to address and resolve complex employee relations issues.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all employee relations cases and investigations.

  • Assist in developing and conducting training sessions for employees and managers on topics related to employee relations such as anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies.

  • Stay up-to-date with current employment laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field.

  • At least 6 years of experience in employee relations including investigating complaints of discrimination and harassment.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to work in our New York City office three to four days per week (One Madison Avenue Midtown South)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g. PHR SPHR SHRM-CP SHRM-SCP) a plus.

  • Experience in a consulting role or working with multiple clients.

Compensation: We expect the base salary for this position to range between $130000 - $158000 depending on level of relevant experience.
