Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Accountant to join our Finance team and provide high-quality project support to Project Managers and operational teams. This role plays a key part in enabling effective project management accurate financial tracking and strong governance across the project lifecycle.
This role can be based in Sydney Brisbane or Melbourne.
What youll do:
- Set up and maintain projects including billing invoicing forecasting and reporting
- Lead the billing process and ensure accurate revenue recognition
- Provide working capital insights and support collections
- Partner with Project Managers and Finance Leaders to deliver financial advice and governance
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and contractual requirements
Qualifications :
- An Accounting / Finance qualification or background
- Strong analytical and accounting/financial skills including compliance reporting and legal issues (Engineering environment considered advantageous)
- Demonstrated experience in project accounting receivables and cash management
- Advanced experience in and use of accounting packages and MS Office (particularly Excel) software
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (with exceptional attention to detail)
