Job Summary

L&Gs Corporate Affairs function plays a vital role in shaping our reputation strategy and stakeholder engagement. Were looking for a strategic and collaborative Senior Manager to lead our Strategy & Planning team driving transformation and operational excellence across the function. This is a high-impact role that offers the opportunity to influence how we communicate plan and deliver across Corporate Affairs.

What youll be doing:

  • Leading the Corporate Affairs Strategy & Planning team driving the development and implementation of L&Gs Corporate Affairs strategy to support business growth targets build market confidence in the execution of L&Gs strategy and bring our organisation together around a powerful motivating narrative
  • Overseeing the operational management of Corporate Affairs including leading on financial planning to drive operational efficiency leading a team to ensure that finance procurement audit governance technology and risk processes are running effectively and in support of the strategy
  • Establishing and overseeing critical workstreams to support delivery of the Corporate Affairs strategy and operational management leading a team to project manage and oversee delivery. Developing best practice playbooks to support delivery of repeatable activity for example financial results partnerships
  • Implementing and overseeing planning reporting and evaluation processes that support effective co-ordination measurement and stakeholder engagement across Corporate Affairs delivering continuous improvement
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement in Corporate Affairs prioritising working effectively working collaboratively across the function resolving conflict positively and role modelling L&Gs behaviours in your interactions with colleagues
  • Taking the lead in all matters with regard to the management of employees ensuring that management discretion is used in a consistent manner and that the area follows the Groups policies and procedures including the Partnership Agreement to maximise business performance
  • Consumer Duty: Ensuring communications are clear fair and not misleading and are fully compliant with any rules and guidance issued by the relevant regulators including relevant data protection legislation

Qualifications :

Who were looking for:

  • Knowledge of Corporate Affairs / Communications / Marketing practices preferred.
  • Knowledge of strategy development and planning principles including evaluation.
  • Familiarity with industry trends best practices and emerging technologies measurement and planning
  • Knowledge of budget and procurement practices and a broad understanding of technology and how it can create greater efficiencies
  • Strong interpersonal abilities with a proven capacity to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes build relationships and influence at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
