About the Opportunity
We are hiring on-site Academic Counselors (freshers) to join a high-energy student engagement team focused on converting interested learners into enrolled students. This entry-level role combines empathetic counseling persuasive communication and organized follow-up to deliver an exceptional admissions experience while meeting enrollment targets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Engage prospective students via on-site interactions and inbound/outbound calls to understand goals explain programs and guide course selection.
- Qualify leads address queries about curriculum/fees/schedules and convert prospects into admissions through structured follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate lead and student records in CRM update statuses and log counseling notes for reporting and handoffs.
- Conduct orientation sessions small-group info-sessions and campus walkthroughs to build trust and clarify learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with academic and operations teams to coordinate admissions documentation scheduling and onboarding tasks.
- Achieve individual conversion and enrollment targets while collecting feedback to improve counseling effectiveness.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelors degree (any discipline) with strong communication skills and comfort working on-site in India.
- Excellent spoken and written English plus at least one regional language (Hindi/Tamil/Telugu/Kannada/Marathi/Bengali as applicable).
- Strong interpersonal skills: empathy active listening persuasion and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Basic computer skills: CRM usage MS Office/Google Workspace data entry accuracy and phone etiquette.
Preferred
- Internship or prior exposure to sales customer service telecounseling or campus outreach.
- Familiarity with admissions processes lead-conversion metrics or prior experience with CRM tools (Zoho/HubSpot/Freshsales).
