Having worked in the energy transition area for well over a decade GHD have established a specific team passionate about working with clients to decarbonise energy systems. At GHD we call this client service offering Future Energy. For Future Energy services GHD is the consultant of choice in WA and has played a significant role in delivering the majority of large wind solar and battery projects in the SWIS including:
- King Rocks Wind Farm
- Warradarge Wind Farm Stage 1 and 2
- Flat Rocks Wind Farm
- Yandin Wind Farm
- Badgingarra Wind Farm and Solar Farm
- Greenough River Solar Farm
- Kwinana BESS Stage 1 and 2
- Collie BESS
GHD has also been heavily involved in developing decarbonisation strategies for tier 1 and 2 mining organisations across the state.
With a significant pipeline of works we require a Senior Renewables Engineer based in our Perth office. Working within a team of power generation and renewables specialists and broader multi-disciplinary groups this diverse position is your opportunity to be part of the strategic direction within our global consultancy and will see you involved in:
- Providing specialised technical services to clients on a diverse range of renewable energy projects with a focus on Wind Solar and Energy Storage
- Collaborating closely with colleagues across the business locally nationally and internationally to deliver projects
- Technical input to system design studies and reporting
- Developing winning proposals and presenting them to a wide range of clients in the renewable industry
- Assist with management of the Quality HSE IMS compliance standards and promotion of continuous improvement in our systems and processes
What you will bring to the team:
- A relevant bachelors degree
- Minimum 6-10 years tried experience in wind development or delivery
- First-hand experience in project development or delivery within the renewable energy market
- Experience with international standards for wind technologies
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills and knowledge of statistical analysis
- Engaging social skills & strategic problem-solving capability with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external clients
- Experience in site construction works for generation projects is advantageous
