Senior Learning Experience Designer

Work collaboratively with teams school networks and technology partners to design develop and implement engaging online and blended learning experiences that leverage technology to improve learning outcomes.

We also support Dollys Dream to help change the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying anxiety depression and youth suicide through education and direct support to young people and families.

About the team:

The eSmart Team work collaboratively across the Foundation to deliver the eSmart program an online safety education program that gives students educators and families the tools they need through free and updated learning resources aligned with the national curriculum to help keep children and young people safe and strong.

About the role:

  • Full-time 2-year contract
  • 37.5 hours per week

Reporting into the Head of Digital Citizenship Programs the Senior Learning Experience Designer is responsible for designing engaging online and blended learning experiences that leverage technology to improve learning outcomes for children and young people their educators and their families.

To make an impact in this role you will:

  • Through collaboration with subject matter experts develop engaging age-appropriate learning materials (i.e. lesson plans take-home resources professional learning modules)
  • Work with children and young people to identity learning needs and wants and develop safe accurate and relatable content that reflects lived experiences.
  • Design inclusive and learner-centred content across digital platforms using evidence-based instructional models and universal design principles.
  • Provide support for Educators and Families by creating learning resources that build their capacity and capability to support childrens digital experiences.
  • Manage multiple learning design projects ensuring timely on-budget delivery.

Experience required:

  • An appropriate qualification in learning design role or experience as a teacher/trainer and assessor and relevant industry experience (essential).
  • Demonstrated experience in learning and assessment design digital pedagogies and educational innovation (essential).
  • Effective leadership experience strong collaboration and communication skills (essential)
  • Strong understanding of current research and best practice in improving online safety and media and digital literacy for children young people and their communities (desirable).
  • Experience managing and executing numerous projects simultaneously or initiatives either in the non-profit corporate consulting or public sectors. (desirable).
