2nd Shift 14:00 - 22:00

This role will install service and repair equipment such as Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) systems working alongside Data Center Operating Engineers. The Maintenance Mechanic will also perform general handyman duties housekeeping of electrical and mechanical equipment rooms as well as outdoor utility yards perform grounds and roof inspections. Assist the Data Center Operating Engineers in the performance of their duties.

Job Requirements:

• Valid Texas drivers license and reliable transportation.

• Ability to work nights weekends and holidays.

• Ability to respond to work emergencies outside of normal work hours.

• Good communications skills both verbal and written.

• Good writing reading and mathematics skills.

• Electrical and or Mechanical background/experience is desired.

• Data Center knowledge/experience a plus.

• Ability to troubleshoot issues offer recommendations for repairs and carry out repairs.

• Basic handyman skills.

• Working knowledge of hand and power tools.

• Self-sufficient.

• Ability to follow instructions both written and verbal.

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Ability to frequently walk up and down stairs for inspections and emergency procedure practice or implementation.

• Ability to sit stand walk for longer than average periods of time.

• Ability to climb ladders up to 12 feet and lift to 50 lbs. repeatedly.

• Ability to detect emergency alarms - auditory and/or visual.

• When performing inspections you must have the ability to get on hands and knees to reach areas difficult to access.

• Ability to work outdoors year-round.

• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work alone as well as with multiple teams consisting of operational staff client managers vendors and contractors via on site presence telephone and email.

• Ability to use mobile devices such as smartphones or tablets computer systems such as email Microsoft Teams Word Excel internet search as well as job specific monitoring tools.
