Electrical Engineering Intern

AECOMs Water Business Lineis seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation & Controls Intern to support water wastewater treatment flood protection and associated projects in our Chelmsford MA office.  This position offers a unique opportunity to work within an established and successful national group under the direct responsible charge and supervision of Registered Professional Engineers that offers a diverse range of technical challenges and career development opportunities.  Join our team while we continue to deliver innovative and successful projects and help the communities in which we live and work.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Perform assignments requiring the applicationof standard techniques procedures and criteria to carry out engineering tasks associated with the technical design and layout of electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities.  Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
• Prepare design drawings plans sections details and profiles/sections within Autodesk Civil 3D AutoCAD MEP and/or Revit.
• Work under the mentorship and supervision of a senior engineer.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

•  Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or other related field from an ABET-accredited university and must have completed at least two of year of study. Candidates who have graduated with a Bachelors degree and plan to continue with the Masters degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelors degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Capable of using spreadsheet word processing and standard office software.
• Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position such as AutoCAD Revit Bluebeam and commercially available engineering analysis packages.
• Strong communication teamwork problem solving and writing skills.
• Evidence of participation in university extracurricular clubs such as IEEE or SAE.
• Coursework in Calculus Physics and Computer Science.
