A well-established family-owned motor retail group is recruiting an experienced Assistant Aftersales Manager.

Offering a basic salary of 33000 with realistic OTE of around 38000 and a company vehicle this role suits a hands-on leader who wants progression and responsibility in a busy aftersales environment.

Core hours are MondayFriday 8:00am6:00pm with a paid Saturday morning rota.

Responsibilities

• Support the Aftersales Manager in the day-to-day running of the aftersales operation ensuring service delivery consistently meets customer expectations
• Lead coach and motivate a mixed team of service advisors technicians and apprentices encouraging a customer-first culture through example and guidance
• Oversee scheduling job allocation and performance monitoring to maintain workshop efficiency and quality standards
• Act as the escalation point for complex or high-priority customer issues applying problem-solving skills to achieve timely resolutions and retain customer trust
• Work cross-functionally with Parts Service and Workshop teams to deliver a seamless customer journey and continuous business improvement
• Assist with administrative duties reporting and KPI tracking to support informed decision-making
• Maintain high standards of departmental housekeeping safety and compliance; support ad-hoc projects as required

Requirements

• Previous supervisory or team-leading experience in automotive aftersales retail or a customer-facing environment
• Proven history of delivering strong customer service and building rapport with customers
• Proactive solution-focused approach with a can-do attitude and ownership mentality
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment
• Excellent communication and people management skills; able to coach and influence colleagues positively
• Willingness to develop and keep up to date with product and technical information
• Full UK driving licence
