We are currently seeking a skilled Locum NP (Nurse Practitioner) or PA (Physicians Assistant) this role you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality care to patients in the internal medicine department. As a Locum NP/PA Hospitalist you will be responsible for collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care. Your role will involve conducting physical exams interpreting diagnostic tests developing treatment plans and educating patients on health management.
Responsibilities:
- Performing initial patient assessments and obtaining medical histories
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures
- Developing and implementing patient care plans
- Prescribing medications and treatments
- Monitoring and managing acute and chronic medical conditions
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care
- Providing patient education on disease prevention and health promotion
- Documenting patient information accurately and efficiently
Requirements:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physicians Assistant (PA) license
- Previous experience in internal medicine or hospitalist role
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and department priorities
12-hour day or night shifts
