Were partnering with a leading oil & gas company seeking a Field Service Manager to oversee cementing operations manage service delivery and drive commercial and operational performance across Port Harcourt. What Youll Do

Strategic Operations Management

  • Oversee all cementing and pumping operations across Port Harcourt area of responsibility
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Set performance targets for safety quality efficiency and financial metrics
  • Drive operational excellence initiatives and continuous improvement programs
  • Ensure service delivery meets or exceeds client expectations and contractual obligations
  • Manage operational budgets cost control and resource optimization

Business Development & Client Management

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Identify business growth opportunities and participate in commercial pursuits
  • Support tender preparation technical proposals and contract negotiations
  • Ensure client satisfaction through proactive engagement and issue resolution
  • Drive service differentiation and competitive positioning in the market
  • Collaborate with commercial teams on pricing strategy and contract management

Technical Leadership & Quality Assurance

  • Provide technical oversight for complex cementing operations and challenging wells
  • Review and approve cementing programs risk assessments and operational plans
  • Drive innovation in cementing technology techniques and service offerings
  • Ensure compliance with API standards regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Investigate operational failures and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Champion technical excellence and engineering rigor across the organization

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead mentor and develop cementing engineers supervisors and field personnel
  • Build high-performing teams through recruitment training and succession planning
  • Conduct performance management including evaluations coaching and development plans
  • Foster culture of accountability collaboration and continuous learning
  • Manage organizational structure roles and responsibilities for optimal effectiveness
  • Promote employee engagement retention and career growth opportunities

HSE Leadership

  • Champion safety culture and drive HSE performance across all operations
  • Ensure implementation of HSE management systems and compliance programs
  • Set HSE objectives and monitor leading/lagging indicators
  • Lead incident investigations and ensure effective corrective actions
  • Participate in HSE audits management reviews and regulatory inspections
  • Drive safety leadership visibility through field visits and engagement

Equipment & Asset Management

  • Oversee cementing equipment fleet including maintenance reliability and utilization
  • Develop capital expenditure plans for equipment upgrades and expansion
  • Ensure adequate equipment capacity to meet operational demands
  • Implement asset management strategies to optimize lifecycle costs
  • Coordinate with maintenance logistics and supply chain functions
  • Monitor equipment performance metrics and drive improvement initiatives

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Manage P&L responsibility for cementing service line operations
  • Control operational costs and drive efficiency to improve margins
  • Monitor revenue profitability and cash flow performance
  • Prepare and present operational and financial reports to senior management
  • Ensure accurate forecasting budgeting and financial planning
  • Drive commercial discipline in pricing contracting and cost management

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with other service line managers on integrated operations
  • Interface with senior client leadership on strategic matters
  • Participate in business reviews strategic planning and organizational initiatives
  • Coordinate with regional/global teams on technical standards and best practices
  • Represent the organization in industry forums technical committees and conferences
  • Build cross-functional partnerships to enable operational success

Requirements

Who You Are

  • Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering Chemical Engineering or related engineering field (Masters degree preferred)
  • Minimum 8 years experience in cementing operations with at least 3 years in management roles in oil & gas
  • Proven track record in operations management client relationship management and business leadership
  • Deep technical expertise in cementing engineering well construction and oilfield services
  • Experience managing P&L budgets and commercial performance
  • Strong knowledge of HSE management systems and regulatory compliance
